VINCENT GROOS -- Director
I live to write stories about the vulnerable human. I'm constantly looking for projects that move me -- films that have a strong visual identity matched with some deeply compelling human element.
I graduated from the Royal Institute for Theater, Cinema & Sound (RITCS) in Brussels in 2020. My graduation film, Lieve, was selected in over two dozen filmfestivals worldwide and received a lot of praise. You will find the video down here.
Beyond my passion for film and storytelling, I have a background in social work that profoundly shapes my approach as a filmmaker. For years, I worked with young people in vulnerable situations, where I learned the value of empathy, patience, and genuine connection. This experience inspires me to tell stories that not only reveal the complexity and resilience of individuals but also shed light on the realities of those who are often overlooked.
My time in youth care and with at-risk groups showed me that behind every challenge lies a story of hope. This experience has taught me the importance of capturing human vulnerability and strength on film, to engage audiences and give a voice to those who might otherwise remain unheard.
